Wine recollections

It's been a long time since i tried and taste wine ago.. used to taste one wine at least once every fortnight.. now back to this good habit.. miss those old days where my FYP partner and I will attend wine tasting sessions at my supervisor's house.. we miss our Mitolo wine session that we supposed to have this month.. will try to organise one more or a few more before i go into army.

Mitolo Jestar.. crystal wine.. $35.70.. this is a great wine to try.. very fruity.. worth the money..
very rich and has a full body. it show flashes of black pepper and fruits.. blackcurrant and some mixed spice..

Mr Riggs.. the Gaffer.. 2005 shiraz.. crystal wine.. $30++... the 1st smell i noticed is the french oak smell.. which noramlly pple will find it smelly.. on the nose it's not as fruity as jester.. there are aromas of juicy, ripe blackberry.. i haven tried the Mr Riggs with 10% viognier added.. perhaps it will make it more pleasant...it has a pleasing depth of fruit on the palate.. but as compared to jester.. i will prefer mitolo jester to be a more fruity and heavy and worth the value wine. Although it dont really taste heavy.. it weighs in at 15%..

this is my godson.. 10 months old..so cute right..bday come in 2 months time..so smiley and chubby..

today i watched TMNT with jessie and chia then we had dinner at KFC.. nothing much done..

celebrated my godson's brother bday on friday night.. had lots of fun there playing lots of xbox game.. they are like onli primary four.. but it's fun mixing with him and his friends..

hmmm.. finally turkey trip is more or less confirmed.. now on dubai and china.. i think it's really a good opportunity to spend this time travelling.. where else in your life time can you be as care free as now.. but of course need to plan well to money will be well spend.. i really look forward to dubai trip.. hope i can get my friends contact and get at least the lodging for free..

This is one of the church seminars i attended in Malaysia with Ivan. The seminar is very enriching and I get to know many church pple from all over the world. We get to share experiences in handling youth in our own churches. This seminar was in 2002. 5 years ago!! Come to think of it, it's quite amazing why i attended it since most of the pple attending will be of certain age to know what is happening and how to help the youth group in church. But well, it's a good experience for me.

My Long lost bach-busoni collection

I am quite sad now.. haiz.. accidentally deleted my 2 volumes of bach-busoni collections which i just got it this morning.. i only heard toccata and fugue in D minor this morning.. intend to listen to the rest tonight.. but.. haiz.. gone.. cant even recover..well.. shall try to ignore my pissing now..

Had this "ma la" steam boat with my church friends on tuesday night.. it's opposite of shaw tower and it's onli $12.80. we sat upstairs where there is air con.. not bad for such environment and variety of food... after that finishing and gobbling up the food.. we played "zong ji mi ma".. this part was very funny.. weili kena the most and he who is not very used to the spicyness had to eat and drink the soup.. by that time he was already coughing and "buai ta han" of the spicyness.. lol.. he's very unlucky la.. just imagine you are the one who choose the number and end up you still can be the one forfeited in the end.. lol..

TOUCH 07 was on wed night.. well.. i would say this years TOUCH programme is much more interesting then last years and i seems to have a connection to the players.. dont know izzit party because Junjie was playing and I also heard some the players name when i attended one of Mr Ku's playing class.. Ensemble playing in Singapore is really pathetic.. hence i feel all the more we should support this kind of concerts where it promote ensemble playing.. the mozart-busoni piece left the deepest impression in my mind.. it's definately a better piece and am pleasant that is started off the second half with this piece..

Thurs i had my 1st few driving lessons.. i am trying very hard to get use to the amount of accelerator i need to step on since i am really not used to japan car.. i played around german's car since young and drove secretly a few times.. german car are heavier and would require more power.. but if the same amount of power is used to drive the japan car.. the japan car will really fly just like how i literally accelerated to 60Km/Hr for my 1st driving lesson.. look forward to more lessons and it's fun driving.. maybe i should consider to be a full time chauffeur in the future when i am jobless.. lol..

I had my piano lesson today... was totally impressed by my teacher again.. learnt something new again.. perhaps my teacher seldom play that fast and that much.. impressed.. after my lesson i met up Junjie at VCH to get pianofestival tickets. thanks to his Friends of SSO card, we could get our tickets much earlier and at a student price.. just imagine seeing really good pianist and duets of the world at only a cost of $8 per ticket.. I bet you cant get it anywhere else in this world.. cant wait for the piano festival to come.. the most anticipated pianist i wana watch is Valentina Lisitsa.. i saw her video and heard her 24 chopin etudes.. technically she's just so amazing and how can we find such a daring female pianist with such techniques.. but think hearing her to play live is the best gauge of how one's assessment to her musicality. after that we went for lunch at wisma.. then orchard library to use the internet and check out where we really want to go!!.. we were lost.. cant really decide where to go.. china? turkey? russia? india? tasmania? tibet? pakistan? and other even more impossible countries.. lol.. after borrowing 4 tour guide books.. we head all the way back to junjie's house.. thank god we finally decided to go for tours.. else we will still be deciding which part of china we should go.. and we have a common idea.. we recommend sihui to go china's monastery.. coz she is the master of the new "tu-tu" martial arts.. lol.. oops.. at least now we more or less settled with that few tours.. russia my beloved country.. salzburg my homeland.. alright.. hopefully everything can happen to what we plan and we can have a wonderful holiday before going into army.. else i will just protest in army and get caught..alright.. need to read and prepare for my class tml and sunday.. got to teach again.. give me the wisdom and knowledge..

Amadeus

This will be my 1st official post. I just came back from KL yesterday with all my ex 1F03 classmates. The trip was fun. Lots of food. Will talk more about it when i received the pictures from Chia and Dora. I watched Amadeus today. Quite a long movie, 2.5 hours. It's a very nice show, marvelous, high recommended. It's about wolfgang amadeus mozart and Salieri, a court musician. It's very emotional and just exactly portray one of the most devilish human nature, jealousy. Salieri, was not born to be a musician. However, he loves music, his passion of music was tremendous and finally, one day after his father had died, he had the chance to get involved in music and was appointed by the Emperor as his assistance, piano teacher and court musician. He composed 40 operas, some marches and other form of music. He believes in GOD, whom he prayed to him since he was young to be musician. Now, knowing that GOD listened to his prayer, he promised to write music for GOD and only him. He had lived half of his life where pple praised him and was well taken care of by the royal family.

However, all these change when Mozart appeared. He was prodigy, genius the perhaps the best composer ever known at that period of time. He wrote a concerto when was only 7, a opera when he was 12 and a full length concerto at 14. Never had Salieri since such a talent in his life. He never deny Mozart's talent and ability. But as time goes by, lots of attention was on Mozart ever since he started serving in the royal family as a musician too. Mozart improvises Salieri's work on the spot, composed lots of excellant operas, stole his women and endanger his position as a court musician. This is made worst when the innocent minded Mozart, who dont like and dont know about politics did things unknowingly and hurt Salieri. Salieri was jealous and did everything he can to harm Mozart. Salieri was accused to cause Mozart's death. However, according to research, Mozart's death was uncertain. Some speculated that it could be influenza, mercury poisoning or rheumatic fever. But in his death record, it was recorded that he was suffering from sever miliary fever.

Jealousy. Salieri, prayed hard since young to be a musician. He got it and started losing it. His passion to music was tremendous. But He denied GOD in his late life and planned all evil plots to harm mozart. Mozart, a dirty young genius, who fool and play around. He composes work of high standard and perhaps one of the best operas till now. Well, perhaps we need to know that there are definately pple out there better than us. However, what is most important is do we do the best that we can? Do we put in our best effort? We are who we are. Comparing ourself with others in a negative way will just drive us crazy.
